Happy Birthday Roman!
My friend's sweet little boy celebrated his first birthday a couple of weeks ago. I was so honored that she asked me to make his cupcakes and smash cake! His theme was Mickey Mouse, and I was so excited because I had so many ideas for his smash cake.
But a couple of weeks before his party, we found out that he was allergic to a lot of the many ingredients that go into a cake (wheat, soy, dairy, eggs and nuts). I was determined to make sure this sweet boy still got to enjoy a delicious cake, even is designer wise I wasn't able to do what I wanted to try. I was so nervous when began making it, especially with the icing. I learned vegan butter is not a fan of food coloring, so the color's weren't exactly what I wanted, but it worked. And I had to keep putting the icing in the fridge every couple of minutes so it didn't get to soft.
I was taking the pictures when he took his first bite and I can't begin to tell you how excited I was that he enjoyed it! (His momma even said it was good! Score!)
So here is sweet Roman's birthday cake! (sorry the pic is off centered)
Then for the cupcakes for the other guests, I made an oreo cupcake. There was a oreo in the bottom, with the cookie mixed in the batter as well. Then using a regular oreo and two mini oreos...I made Mickey himself!!!
I love being able to add something special to birthdays!
Also...fall has officially started! So place your order for some yummy fall cupcakes, ranging from pumpkin, banana nut, snickerdoodle, pecan, and for all you Harry Potter fans...butterbeer cupcakes!!!

I Love Fall Cupcakes
Though weather wise it doesn't seem that way, Fall will be here before you know it. I love Fall. Football games, cooler weather (unless you live in Southeast Texas!) and the amazing smells! So what better way to celebrate fall than fall flavor cupcakes! Prices are coming soon but here are some of the cupcakes I am doing!
Spiced Pumpkin Latte
Sweet Potato Casserole
Pumpkin Pie
Salted Caramel
Salted Caramel Mocha
Cinnamon Roll
Banana Nut
Snickerdoodle
Apple Cider
Apple Pie
Vanilla Chai
Bacon French Toast
Plus if you're tailgating this season or having a football watching party for your favorite team (Gig'em Aggies and Go Texans!) there are football themed cupcakes as well, decoration wise.
I hope you all are enjoying the last few days before school starts. I refuse to believe that I have a child old enough for kindergarten.

New Items!!!!!!
OK everyone...I am starting a new project with my baking biz. I am now adding...cake pops/cake balls! I don't have anything official on the menu yet but if you are interested please contact me!
With school just around the corner, I know some of you like to give your child's teacher a gift either on the first day or at meet the teacher! And to continue with tradition, why not give them a "Apple" cake pop or "Apple" cupcake.
Also, I am branching out and doing weddings now! Cupcake are becoming a big things in weddings and you can still get an elegant look [or crazy...whatever your theme is :-) ] And instead of worrying about having some cut the cake and not enjoy your reception, people are able to serve themselves and enjoy. Then, you can have a small cake up top to save for your anniversary. I neat idea I read in an article one day was instead of saving the whole cake for a year, have someone cut the cake into twelve pieces and wrap each one individually. Then, on your first month anniversary, second month anniverary, etc, you enjoy a small piece of your cake, because honestly, how many people get to enjoy the entire cake they save (unless you keep with the tradition of inviting every one from the wedding back to your place one year later to enjoy it.)
Here is an example of one way to do a wedding cupcake
So place your orders by email!!!
